Stir Fried Cabbage with Crispy Bacon and Onions

Tender cabbage and onions fried in smoky bacon grease and topped with crispy bacon. The perfect 20 minute side dish to serve with any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 slices bacon diced
  • ¼ cup yellow onion diced
  • 3 cups green cabbage shredded or chopped into 1 inch pieces
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet on medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon and leave the grease in the pan.
  • Add in the onions, green cabbage, paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Stir fry for 8-10 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
  • Top with bacon and serve immediatley.

Notes

  • Cut thicker parts of the cabbage into smaller pieces so it cooks evenly.
  • Top with bacon just before serving so it stays crispy.
