1 pound green beans trimmed ½ cup all purpose flour ½ cup cold water oil for frying ranch dressing to serve Seasonings ¼ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon onion powder ¼ teaspoon paprika pinch ground cayenne pepper salt and pepper to taste
In a large skillet, heat 1 inch of oil to 375°F.
Meanwhile, mix flour, water, and seasonings in a shallow bowl. The consistency should be similar to thin pancake batter.
Dip the string beans in the batter, letting the excess drip off, and fry for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Fry in batches and drain on a wire rack.
Serve immediately with ranch.
