Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces marshmallows
  • 3 cups rice crisps cereal
  • 3 cups Lucky Charms cereal

Instructions

  • Line a 9x9 inch pan with parchment paper or grease with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a large pot on medium heat, melt the butter. Add in the marshmallows and stir until melted.
  • Turn off the heat and mix in the cereals.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan and gently press it into an even layer using the back of a measuring cup. Top with more Lucky Charms marshmallows if desired. Let it cool then cut into squares.

Notes

  • Gently press the cereal mixture into the pan. Try not to compact it too tightly or the bars will be hard.
  • Use a rubber spatula or back of a measuring spoon to press the mixture into an even layer. Coat the spatula or measuring spoon with cooking spray to prevent the marshmallows from sticking to it.
  • Work quickly. Mix in the cereal and form it into the pan before the marshmallow cools. It's easier to work with while it's still warm.
  • Top the bars with more "charms" for a colorful look.
