Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined. Optional: Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Form the sausage into nine patties.
Heat a nonstick skillet on medium heat and cook the sausage for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.

I used a ¼ cup measuring cup to portion out 9 patties. You can make them as big or as small as you'd like.
There is no need to add oil to the pan since the sausage will release its own fat.
Use ground chicken, turkey, or beef! Just make sure there is at least 20 % fat to keep it juicy and flavorful! You can even use a vegetarian alternative.
