Ingredients
- Hawaiian rolls: I love using Hawaiian rolls because they're uber fluffy with a hint of sweetness. You can also use dinner rolls.
- Cheeses: I used 3 cheeses, mozzarella, provolone and pecorino romano. You can use your favorite blend of cheese, maybe some cheddar, asiago, or parmesan.
- Pepperoni: I used classic pepperoni, although turkey or vegetarian alternatives also work. You can even leave it plain with just cheese!
- Garlic: ¾ teaspoon of garlic powder can be used in place of fresh.
- Parsley: ¾ teaspoon of dried parsley can be used in place of fresh.
- Italian seasoning: If you don't have Italian seasoning, use a mix of basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram.
- Red pepper flakes: a pinch of cayenne is a good substitute. Adjust it to your taste!
- Marinara sauce: Make this delicious homemade marinara sauce. Of course, jarred marinara or pizza sauce works as well.

We had a bag of Hawaiian rolls but my kids didn't want to make sliders. I searched the internet and came across this recipe. We tried it tonight and absolutely love it! It was easy to make, didn't require a bunch of ingredients, and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. The sweetness of the bread gives it a surprisingly great kick of flavour. It was delicious by itself, as well as dipped in marinara sauce. The recipe is already saved!

I use the savory butter flavor of Hawaiian rolls because not all little ones like the unique taste of the original sweet rolls.
