Pepperoni, mozzarella, and provolone cheese stuffed in Hawaiian rolls and topped with garlic butter. Savory, cheesy, and saucy, with a hint of sweetness. A fun twist on pizza sliders for an easy appetizer or snack!

    Why You'll Love this Recipe

    • It has three cheeses. I mean c'mon, can you say cheesyyy.
    • It's basically pizza stuffed in pillowy Hawaiian rolls.
    • It's a quick and easy appetizer made in under 30 minutes!
    • It's in a hasselback shape which gives these rolls a whimsical touch!

    Ingredients

    • Hawaiian rolls: I love using Hawaiian rolls because they're uber fluffy with a hint of sweetness. You can also use dinner rolls.
    • Cheeses: I used 3 cheeses, mozzarella, provolone and pecorino romano. You can use your favorite blend of cheese, maybe some cheddar, asiago, or parmesan.
    • Pepperoni: I used classic pepperoni, although turkey or vegetarian alternatives also work. You can even leave it plain with just cheese!
    • Garlic: ¾ teaspoon of garlic powder can be used in place of fresh.
    • Parsley: ¾ teaspoon of dried parsley can be used in place of fresh.
    • Italian seasoning: If you don't have Italian seasoning, use a mix of basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram.
    • Red pepper flakes: a pinch of cayenne is a good substitute. Adjust it to your taste!
    • Marinara sauce: Make this delicious homemade marinara sauce. Of course, jarred marinara or pizza sauce works as well.

    Topping Variations

Just like any pizza, you can stuff these with your favorite toppings! Here are some ideas!

    • Sausage.
    • Veggies like peppers and onions, mushrooms, or broccoli.
    • Meat lovers includes sausage, bacon, pepperoni, and ham.
    • Olives.
    • Basil, added after baking.
    • Ham and pineapple.
    • Bacon, egg, and cheese for breakfast!

How to Make Pepperoni Pizza Hawaiian Roll Sliders

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Separate the Hawaiian rolls and cut 2 slits ⅔s of the way through each roll.
    1. Stuff each roll with pepperoni and a little bit of mozzarella and provolone cheese.

    1. Combine the garlic herb ingredients and brush it onto the rolls. Make sure to get in between the cuts too!

    1. Sprinkle pecorino romano cheese on top and bake for 10 minutes.

    Tasty Tips

    • Make it your own with your favorite pizza toppings.
    • Make homemade marinara sauce. I promise you, it's worth it!
    • Dip it in extra garlic herb sauce!
    • Make a pull apart cheesy bread by leaving the Hawaiian rolls attached, slice the slits and stuff it with cheese and pepperoni.

We had a bag of Hawaiian rolls but my kids didn't want to make sliders. I searched the internet and came across this recipe. We tried it tonight and absolutely love it! It was easy to make, didn't require a bunch of ingredients, and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. The sweetness of the bread gives it a surprisingly great kick of flavour. It was delicious by itself, as well as dipped in marinara sauce. The recipe is already saved!

I use the savory butter flavor of Hawaiian rolls because not all little ones like the unique taste of the original sweet rolls.
