    The Inspiration

These croissant croutons are inspired by Trader Joe's rosemary croissant croutons. Instead of buying a small bag for $3.99 you can make a fresh batch at home in 10 minutes!

My favorite place to get croissants is at Costco! You get a dozen large croissants for $5! I freeze the extras.

Croissant croutons are uber flaky and have a tender crunch- unlike some tooth breaking croutons!

They are delicious on top of salads, tomato bisques, French onion soups, or you can enjoy like a bag of chips.

I could also see these on a beautiful charcuterie board.

I bet ya just can't eat one!

Great recipe! Absolutely love Trader Joe's Croissant Croutons, so I decided to give these babies a try and OH-MY-GOODNESS!!!!! These are HEAVENLY!!! Thank you so much for this recipe... the only thing I did differently was(and I made 3 different batches:D) I would spray these with lots of oil, I used avocado, and sprinkle with lots of garlic salt... These are amazing, thanks!!!

So glad I found this! I love TJs croissants, but I hate spending 4 bucks in a tiny bag!
Also, did you say “ freeze” the leftover Costco croissants? How do you do that? How long do they last? Are they then only good for croutons( which isn’t a bad thing!)
      Thank you,
      Brooke S

Hi Brooke! I place the croissants in gallon sized Ziploc bags. Since they are airy, you can slice them easily while frozen. I slice them in half and toast for sandwiches. You can also defrost them on the counter overnight and warm the whole croissant at 325-350F for 8 minutes. They should keep for up to 2 months in the freezer. Tastes just as good as fresh!
